Darby is the Managing Director of the Lyric Theatre and founder of the La Brea Barnstormers. As an actress, Darby appeared in numerous shows in the Los Angeles and Seattle areas and also studied at the British American Drama Academy in 2005. After graduating from USC with degrees in Theatre and Public Relations and a minor in Public Management, Darby worked in publicity at NBC Universal before the launch of the Lyric in 2007. Darby has also served as a volunteer on Skid Row at Chrysalis Career Center, a nonprofit organization dedicated to helping economically disadvantaged and homeless individuals become self-sufficient through employment opportunities.
